Off-duty NYPD cop busted for sending ex-girlfriend harassing texts

An off-duty NYPD cop was arrested this week for allegedly sending his ex-girlfriend harassing text messages, cops said. 

Officer Josue Torres, 35, was busted Wednesday and accused of sending the texts in violation of an active order of protection that his 38-year-old former gal pal has against him, police said. 

He was charged with criminal contempt in connection to that alleged violation, cops said.

Torres was also charged with aggravated harassment and harassment, authorities said. 

He was arrested in the confines of Brooklyn’s 73rd Precinct, which covers Brownsville, police said.
