Wayne then went back to the same Key Foods he abducted the girl from to assault the girl again before he left her on the street and leaving. The New York Police Department took immediate action and utilized every available detective to hunt down the predator.

The grocery store’s CCTV footage showed a clear image of Wayne which enabled authorities to swiftly identify him as the perpetrator.

Deputy Commissioner of Operations Kaz Daughtry abhorred Wayne’s actions, calling him the “epitome of evil.” Kaz also promised that the NYPD would do everything they could to bring him to justice.

“It is almost unfathomable that such evil could take hold in a city we call home,” Daughtry stated.” The NYPD will not rest until this fiend is locked up behind iron bars.”

When police tried to pull him over, Wayne refused to do so, but instead, he hit the gas, resulting in a high-speed chase through the city. Wayne ran a stop sign, T-boning a red SUV at the intersection of 212th Street. He injured himself and also the other driver.

He was arrested four times in the past, which included a 2022 incident that was strikingly similar to Thursday’s kidnapping.

In the 2022 case, Wayne allegedly used a knife to threaten a woman on Queens Boulevard and force her into the same gray Honda he used in the aforementioned attack. Police believe that he tried to get her in the car so he could sexually assault her. Thankfully, the woman was able to escape unharmed.
