Man dies after SUV hits tree in Lake County, troopers say

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was found critically injured after a hit-and-run crash in Osceola County early Friday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 39-year-old woman was found around 7:05 a.m. on Vineland Road near Kyngs Heath Road.

According to a crash report, a vehicle was traveling north on Vineland Road when it struck the pedestrian.

The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers said they believe the crash happened before sunrise Friday. FHP said it is looking for a white Honda sedan that was possibly involved.
